Tomorrow is our Student BC6 Transition and Induction Day!

A letter has been sent out to all students regarding our induction program for your son or daughter wishing to take up their place at Baxter College 6th Form. Your son or daughter will be introduced to the sixth form, shown around and given a timetable for the day. Students will then be asked to attend the transition lessons for each of the courses they wish to take up in September. There is an expectation that all students attend the induction day 25 June from 8.45am – 3.00pm in the sixth form centre.

All students will be given a transition pack for each of the subjects they intend to take up during the day and will be asked to complete some preliminary work and reading before they start in September. All transition tasks will also be uploaded on our website baxtercollege.co.uk/sixth-form and full access given to students.

In order to support your son or daughter in the transition from KS4 to KS5 we would like to invite you to our 6th Form Induction Parents’ Evening on Tuesday 25 June from 6.30pm. A presentation will be given covering all aspects of 6th Form life to hopefully keep you informed of the key aspects of BC6, it will also allow you to ask any questions. We feel this is a vital part of the support and transition of your son or daughter into BC6 to keep you informed and able to support them during this time of transition.
