Combined Cadet Force

We are proud to announce our Combined Cadet Force (CCF) begins parading in September 2019, offering our learners a unique range of learning experiences beyond the classroom. If you are interested in supporing as an Adult Volunteer please contact the school through info@baxtercollege.co.uk

This autumn will see the exciting new development of Baxter College’s very own CCF regiment. We are delighted that Mr Macpherson and Mrs Kendall will lead this. In line with our commitment to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) the regimental badge will be selected from either The Royal Signals, The Royal Engineers or the Royal Yeomanry. Baxter College students will get the opportunity to be involved in an exciting range of opportunities, both on the school site and through day and residential visits. This is a fantastic opportunity for them to learn new skills, develop a team ethos and experience a very different side of school life. We look forward to seeing them parading at the end of September.

Why join the CCF?

Becoming a cadet within the Combined Cadet Force can be a life-changing experience. Being a cadet will give you the opportunity to take part in a huge range of exciting and adventurous, military-themed activities -  there is something for everyone. You will quickly build important skills like teamwork, confidence and self-discipline, as well as having the opportunity to take on leadership roles. CCF offers you a chance to get to know a wide-range of people from across the school, and work together to take on new challenges. Whatever your academic ability, CCF can give you the chance to shine.
