In 2021 World Book Day, just like everything else, will be different.
We’re working with the World Book Day team to provide a printed token for those students still in a school and a new single-use digital version for those learning from home. This can be printed at home or shown to booksellers on a phone or tablet screen (please check that your local bookseller is able to accept this option beforehand).
Here’s the link to the digital token for secondary schools £1 book token. Printed tokens will also be available in school. Please ask your Tutor for these.

There are many other exciting developments for this year’s World Book Day.
There is the new World Book Day Book Club and the Author & Illustrator Academy videos, which are now live! These include all of the brilliant £1 book authors and illustrators, with lots of exciting challenges and activities to make reading even more fun and interactive.
Finally, the Share a Story Live Events from 3rd to 5th March will hopefully encourage even more of you to get involved in reading for pleasure, so please save the date and tune in.
Just remember though, World Book Day can be any day! So, when we’re all back together again in school we’ll make sure that we celebrate it together!
