Decisions, Decisions, Decisions

Year 9 is an exciting time in every student’s life.

The point at which you start to gain control of the subjects you study is a really pivotal moment in your educational career. Having such choices can be both exhilarating and daunting. Your parents/carers and teachers will help you to make these decisions. We recommend that at this point in your education you ensure that your subject choices give you as much flexibility as possible for the future.

Step One

It is important to read and consider your options so ensure that you read the Options Guide and the Course Descriptors for the subjects you are interested in.

Step Two

Talk to your parents and teachers about your prospective subject choices. Your parents and teachers will support you and be able to answer you queries regarding your chosen subject.

We also recommend watching the presentation below from Mr Waites about advice in choosing your options.
