Baxter College will be a values driven school that:
- celebrates diversity through child centred school experience and seeks success for all.
- develops skills and character traits in students with the practical wisdom to apply them.
- delivers excellence through care and kindness to all in our community
Safe & Happy Community
Everyone is entitled to feel safe and happy in school. Everyone should feel known, valued and have someone to turn to.

Learning for Life
Mutual Respect & Responsibility
Our community is built on mutual respect and collective responsibility.

Unlocking Potential
We should all have the opportunity to achieve our personal best, unlocking our potential. Learners should be supported and successful as individuals regardless of background.
Active Voice
Everyone has a voice that contributes to the democratic running of the school.

Opportunities for Success
We should provide opportunities to develop a global perspective and genuine aspiration.
British Values

The values that define what we do at Baxter College are aligned with the fundamental British Values that define us as a nation.
All students have an active voice at Baxter College, through their year councils and student parliament. The year council and student parliament are built on democracy and provide students with the first-hand experience of democracy in action. The active voice students' provide include setting elements of the code of conduct.
Students are expected to show mutual respect, manage their behaviour and take responsibility for their actions, understanding the behaviours that underpin the rule of law. Through understanding the impact their actions can have on others, they will recognise the principles that underpin individual liberties.
In our safe and happy community, we expect tolerance of different faiths and beliefs.
