Fundamental British Values

The values that define what we do at Baxter College are aligned with the fundamental British Values that define us as a nation.

All students have an active voice at Baxter College, through their year councils and student parliament. The year council and student parliament are built on democracy and provide students with the first-hand experience of democracy in action. The active voice students' provide include setting elements of the code of conduct.

Students are expected to show mutual respect, manage their behaviour and take responsibility for their actions, understanding the behaviours that underpin the rule of law. Through understanding the impact their actions can have on others, they will recognise the principles that underpin individual liberties.

In our safe and happy community, we expect tolerance of different faiths and beliefs.
